After disobeying the Elder's advice your young hero from the village of Potos takes a sword deep in a stone and releases monsters into the surrounding forest, so they have to run awaty and are pursued by an evil empire's forces and have to energise the sword so they can use it to fight by travelling to the eight Mana Temples.
